Katherine J. Kornblau
Katherine started designing jewelry as a child. Spending summers by the seashore, her first creations were made of seashells and her first sales were out of her little red wagon. By the time she was 16, she was selling to boutiques in New York City and in several other states along the eastern seaboard.
Katherine started teaching silver-smithing during her years at Oberlin College. Her major in art history and a year in Paris intensified her interest in culturally and historically inspired designs.
In 1999, Katherine founded KJK Jewelry, Inc. with the mission to create beautiful, fashionable, wearable jewelry, especially for museum stores. She designs jewelry to coordinate with museum exhibitions ranging in theme from Egyptian to Modern.
