  
Like others of the Hudson River School, the work of George Inness(1825-1894) was mainly concerned with the mood and images of an American landscape. In this poster of "Winter Sky" the specific details of nature are difficult to perceive because Inness instead concentrated on depicting the effects of light and atmosphere on the landscape. A beautiful poster for any room.
