A reproduction of Anselm Keifer's (1945- ) work entitled, "Lot's Wife" reinforces his reputation as an intensely physical and metaphysical artist. Weighing some 1200 pounds, this wood and lead panel work depicts railroad tracks in a charred barren landscape. Burned Canvas, paint, ash, salt and metal are used to create an eerie landscape that references both the Biblical story of Lot's wife and the deportation of Jews during the Holocaust.
