A reproduction of "Vaulting" by Susan Rothenberg (1945 -) depicts a figure which seems to be moving and tumbling across the surface. Rothenberg is noted for scenes excerpted from daily life, whether highlighting an untoward event, a moment of remembrance, or depicting parts of figures, Rothenberg’s thickly layered and nervous brushwork are a distinctive characteristic of her paintings along with a tilted perspective in which the vantage point is located high above the ground. This work is part of the contemporary collection in the Cleveland Museum art.
