  
This poster is a reproduction of Mark Tansey's (1949- ) “Soft Border.” Tansey's fascination with the nature of time, space and painting itself shows four different figurative scenes. A small tribe of Native Americans, 19th century surveyors, modern tourists and a toxic waste-removing crew are all arranged on the canvas so that the painting can be hung in any of four positions.
