Reproduced is Grant Wood (1892-1942) noted picture, "January." Painted at a time when Wood and his work were under attack at the University of Iowa , "January" explores the themes of shelter and oblivion. Snow-laden shocks of corn recede into the distance in a white otherwise featureless landscape, and tracks of a lone rabbit are marked in the snow going into shelter. This poster can bring a rural touch to any room or den.
